The course for online high school program is the same as they offer in the traditional school classes. The main thing to look at is that the state has approved the program and an accredited institution gives the certification.
Students who don’t like traditional schooling and are fine with homeschooling or the students who couldn’t go to school at the right age or students who have to work and still want to continue their studies can opt for distance learning options. There is no difference between brick-mortar classrooms and online high school programs, and they both offer the same course.
Teachers who are certified conduct the classes. These programs are self-paced and are open to everyone worldwide.
Courses
The courses offered by online high school programs are similar to that of a traditional class of high schools. Following are the classes offered:

The students receive the course materials and assignments by downloading notes of lectures, slideshows, etc. Interaction with teachers takes place through videos. As a student, there will be many options to contact to the classes and instructors, for example, phone, text, email, chat, etc.
Technology and Other Requirements
Online CMS or online content management system is used as a platform for students to access their work. Assignments might also be received via posts, such as books and DVDs. Having internet with a tab, computer or laptop is a must to manage CMS and access online. For running out some programs, there might be a requirement of some more software.
Communications mostly will take place via emails or CMS, but few may also take place via posts.
